GARDENSTOWN celebrated the 60th anniversary of its annual flower show
with a vibrant display in the public hall.
Poor weather did not prevent the show, held last Saturday, attracting many exhibitors, competing in a wide variety of categories, including pot plants, knitting, housewifery and photography.
The organising committee was overwhelmed by the standard of entries, and thanked Bracoden School for its support.
Flower show president Sam Hewett said: “The entries from pupils at Bracoden School particularly were fantastic.”
Banff woman Muriel Farquharson left with five main awards, and Lois Anne Watt, of Macduff, triumphed in two junior industrial sections.
