Buckie Thistle bring Harry Noble back to Victoria Park as summer Highland League signing from Deveronvale
He started his career with his local football club - and now he’s returned home.
Harry Noble has completed a move from Deveronvale to Buckie Thistle, the club he made his Highland League debut with as a 17-year-old.
The 29-year-old left-sided stopper or midfielder was captain at Vale, who signed him from Lossiemouth, and his journey has come full circle with a switch back to Jags on a three-year contract.
“Delighted to have signed for Buckie again, can’t wait to get going for the hometown team,” Noble said on the club’s website.
Jags have also signed Lossiemouth pair Ross Morrison and Ross Paterson and Elgin City forward Fin Allen this summer.
Manager Lewis Mackinnon said he was delighted to make another quality addition to his squad.
“We are pleased to get Harry on board prior to commencing pre-season training this Wednesday,” he said on the club’s website.
“The left side was an area we identified that we required to strengthen and myself and the coaching team have always been admirers of Harry and what he can bring to the team.
“Harry was probably a little unfortunate not to break into the side back when he burst onto the scene as a youngster, but he has gone away like others and developed into a well-rounded HFL player and has earned the move back to his hometown team.
“Personally, I like the tenacity he plays with, that coupled with a fine left foot he will be a fantastic addition to the squad.”
