CHILDREN and families dealing with the serious conditions of spina bifida and hydrocephalus will benefit from a charity event being hosted by Dragon’s Den star Duncan Bannatyne.

The ball, in which guests are invited to bid and ask the businessman any question, will be held at Mercure Ardoe House Hotel, near Aberdeen, on November 18 in aid of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association (SSBA).

Most children born with spina bifida are paralysed from the waist down, and commonly have the additional condition hydrocephalus, of water on the brain.

Money raised will help fund a specialist family support worker to hlp families dealing with the condition in the North-east.

Tickets, which are £150 a head or £1,500 for a table of ten, can be reserved by calling 01236 794508 or by email at: fundraising@ssba.org.uk

Mor information on the SSBA is available at www.ssba.org.uk
