An impressive rise in the baking world

BANFF woman Heather Thompson has been promoted to finance director

with shortbread and biscuit manufacturer, Dean’s of Huntly.

Dean’s is a family run business which also makes other hand-baked goods as well as running a visitor centre, gift shop, cafe and online shop. It employs a staff of 130.

Prior to joining Dean’s, Ms Thompson (pictured right) was previously employed by Kepak Buchan, Turriff as assistant accountant. She joined Dean’s in 2003 as an accountant before progressing to financial controller.

As financial director, she joins the current board of Bill Dean (managing director), Scott Kelman (commercial director) and Les McArthur (operations director).
