50mph speed limit for village

A 50MPH speed limit is to be introduced at King Edward, five miles south of

Banff.

However, a suggestion of introducing double white lines to to prevent overtaking was ruled out.

Councillors agreed to the change last week after hearing it was one of the last hamlets

Drivers were already required to keep to 50mph or less in Birkenhills, Fyvie, Hattoncrook and Whiterashes, members of Banff and Buchan area committee were told last week.
